About Drywater Entertainment

When choosing a videographer, the most important thing to be aware of is his or her experience and training.

Experience

Today anyone can get their hands on a video camera and free software to make home-movies. Unfortunately, that means there is an ever increasing number of untrained "film makers" competing for your most precious moments.

Our experience includes small indoor weddings, large cathedral-type weddings, and outdoor weddings. You will not even realize we are there while we capture your laughter, smiles, and tears.

We not only have the professional equipment to capture the memories, but we also have the professional training to master and preserve them on a personalized life-time DVD.

Training

My postgraduate training includes an internationally accredited degree in Film Production. I attended the Vancouver Film School in British Columbia where I received invaluable knowledge and training from industry professionals.

A degree only shows my training. How I use the training can be seen in our portfolio.

Professionalism

We take pride in the weddings we do. We consider it an honor to be entrusted with some of the happiest moments of your life. Our unobtrusive videography will not distract you or your guests. Having worked with several still-photographers we know how to work with them so that we will both get the best for you.

Even with training and skill, professional equipment is a must have for any professional product.

Equipment

The most important piece of equipment is by far the Video Camera. We use the Sony DCR-VX2000 Digital Video Camera. This is the main camera we use when filming weddings. It has the ability to capture stunning images and incredible detail. This is possible because it is equipped with a 3CCD chip as opposed to consumer cameras which consist of only a 1CCD. Simply put, 3CCD means there is a bigger chip (three actually) that are receiving the light, color, and image making for a clearer, sharper, and more detailed picture. This also significantly helps the quality in low-light situations, enabling us to film even the dimly lit dances without the use of bulky equipment packages.
